First Weeks of School

Well the day has finally arrived.  I report back to school today!  As i'm sure most of you do, I have a mix of emotions.  On the one hand I can not believe the summer break has come to and end.  What the heck? It flew by!  On the other hand I am super excited about getting this year underway with a whole new set of students!

I love getting to know my new students during the first weeks of school.  I am always looking for new activities to both help get to know the kids and ease them into a new school year and the rigors that will lie ahead.  There are so many great ideas for back to school. I like to try a few new ideas each year. I also have some tried and true favorites.  This summer I compiled a resource that includes many of
my most favorite first weeks of school activities.  It is super packed.  I don't know if I will get to use all of them this year.  It is so hard to pick and choose.  This week, as part of the Building Back to School Series,  I am giving away one copy of my First Weeks Of School Print & Go Bundle!!!  If you would like a chance to win this cool collection of back to school printables, please enter the raffle below!

So, I am off to a long arduous week of professional development, inservice meetings, PLC's, team building activities, ethics and safety discussions, etc. Then, what really matters and the reason I teach will begin again for another year.

I am excited and can't wait to get this obligatory week out of the way so I can start getting to know the people I will spend the next nine months with.

The 2015-1016 school year is almost underway.
